Seahush Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-11-03
Sungwoo Park (service name: Seahush) (the "Operator") runs "Seahush" (the "App") and processes as little personal data as possible. The App has no accounts and does not collect your name, email, phone number, location or microphone audio.
1. What we process and why
| Data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| A hash of a device identifier (the install ID, transformed so it cannot be reversed) | Managing the free trial and preventing repeated trials after reinstalling | 2 years after last use |
| Device integrity results (Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck, Google Play Integrity) | Confirming a genuine app and preventing unauthorized sound downloads | Discarded after the check (the DeviceCheck device bits are kept by Apple) |
| Subscription transaction data (transaction ID, product, expiry) | Granting Premium and restoring purchases | 5 years after the subscription ends (Korean e-commerce law) |
| Crash and error data (crash logs, device model, OS and app version) | Fixing bugs | 90 days |
| Anonymous usage statistics (a random app install ID, which kinds of sounds and scenes are played, screen and feature use, app language and device region setting) | Improving the service | 2 years from collection |
Usage statistics never include advertising IDs, IP addresses, location, alarm times or mix names, and are not linked with data from other apps or services (no tracking). Each record does, however, carry the time it happened, so the approximate time an alarm rang or a sound started is kept. For users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (including when the device region is unknown), the App does not send these usage statistics; instead, when a sound starts playing, it sends only which kinds of sounds were played and how many, the platform (iOS or Android) and the app version to the Operator's server (Cloudflare) to count plays (these records are deleted automatically after 3 months). These counts contain no install ID or anything else that could identify you or your device, so they are not personal data and no consent is requested. You can turn off both usage statistics and play counts anytime under "Share Usage Statistics" in Settings. Error data is collected to keep the App reliable and contains nothing that identifies you.
Payment details (such as card numbers) are handled by the App Store and Google Play; the Operator never receives them.
